Everyone's journey to wellness is unique and is based on their experiences. Give yourself as much time as you need by working collaboratively with your counsellor and your support system you will be well on your way to wellness.

Do you provide in-person or online sessions?
Yes, we offer in-person sessions in a warm and welcoming space, as well as online sessions through a secure video conferencing platform.

How long is a typical counselling session?
Sessions are available for 60 or 90 minutes. For family or couples counseling, sessions may last up to two hours, and extended sessions can be booked for 270 minutes if needed.

How often should I attend counselling sessions?
The frequency of sessions depends on your individual wellness needs and treatment plan. There is no set rule, as every person's journey is unique.

Who can benefit from counselling?
Everyone can benefit from counseling. Just as we visit a family physician for physical health, prioritizing mental health by speaking with a therapist regularly is essential.

Do you accept insurance or offer sliding-scale fees?
We offer a sliding-scale fee and are in the process of accepting insurance. You may also pay for your session and seek reimbursement from your insurance provider using the receipt we provide.

What if my spouse decides they no longer want to attend couples counselling?
You can continue with individual counselling and work on goals and objectives that support your wellness and growth. This will, in turn, have positive outcomes on your relationship with your spouse.

​Will I ever heal from racial trauma?
Although experiencing racism over and over leading to trauma is harmful on the body, mind and spirit, there is hope. With the right supports and time, healing is possible for racial trauma.
